Embrace Pet Insurance Celebrates Season of Giving
(Cleveland, OH) November 27, 2018- Embrace Pet Insurance is excited to announce the launch of their "It's Better to Give AND to Receive" sweepstakes. It started on Giving Tuesday and will run through December 25. Not only will participants have the opportunity to win money for themselves, they will also be able to give back to their favorite organizations. Ten randomly-selected winners will be rewarded with $500, as well as a $500 donation to their nominated 501c3 pet charity.
"Embrace values the amazing work nonprofits across the country do all year long to help animals in need, which is why we're recognizing their efforts by providing ten nominated pet charities with $5,000 in donations," said David Rodgers, Director of Marketing at Embrace Pet Insurance. "We'll also be contributing $5,000 to two Los Angeles-based nonprofits impacted by the wildfires. We hope that others will be inspired to give back as well to ensure these organizations can save even more animals in 2019."
In addition to the donations awarded to the sweepstakes winners, Embrace is kicking off the campaign with a $2,500 donation to The Little Angels Project to fund the care of animals affected by the Woolsey and Hill fires in Los Angeles and a $2,500 donation to the Rescue Freedom Project, which lost their North Hollywood-based rescue and outreach center in the fire. Certified professional dog trainer and TV personality, Laura Nativo, is partnering with Embrace to educate the public on ways they can help during the holidays.
"I've lived on the border of Malibu for almost a decade. After evacuating with my own beloved three dogs during the wildfires, my heart broke to see so much devastation in our communities and all of the helpless animals in need of rescue and care," said Laura Nativo. "I'm grateful to all of the local animal rescues, shelters and brave volunteers who stepped up to help. These pet charities are in need of donations now more than ever. In addition to nominating your favorite organizations for the sweepstakes, please consider donating items from their wish lists, volunteering your time at a shelter or rescue, opening your home to a foster or hosting a fundraiser."
