History of Embrace

September 2024 - Embrace won the Northcoast 99 Award for the 12th time, recognizing Embrace as one of Northeast Ohio’s top places to work for top talent.

Since its inaugural year (2020), the EmbraceCLE Community Challenge has raised over $850,000 for Cleveland-area nonprofits.

June 2024 - Embrace was named one of Northeast Ohio's Top Workplaces by The Plain Dealer for the 10th time.

October 2023 - Embrace became Great Place to Work Certified for the third year in a row.

October 2021 - Embrace is named #1 Pet Insurance 2022 by Forbes.

December 2021 – Embrace is awarded the 2021 International Service Excellence Award in the Division of a Medium Business by the Customer Service Institute of America.

September 2019 - Embrace partnered with PawSupport to give policyholders 24/7 access to a pet help line for guidance on pet-related issues including behavioral, dietary, and wellness concerns.

April 2019 - Embrace policyholders can now manage their policies anytime, anywhere with the Embrace Pet Insurance mobile app for iOS and Android devices. 

June 2015 - Further enhancing the customer experience, Embrace launched MyEmbrace, our online customer portal.

November 2013 - Striving to make pet insurance a household name, Embrace and American Modern Insurance Group worked with Armed Forces Insurance to protect even more cats and dogs.

September 2012 - Healthy Pet Deductible was launched, rewarding pets with a $50 credit towards their deductible for each healthy year.

August 2012 - Embrace partnered with American Modern Insurance Group, an AM Best A+ Superior rated insurance carrier.

October 2006 - Embrace sold our first policy on October 10, 2006

July 2003 - The 2003 Wharton Business Plan Competition winner was a pet insurance concept later named Embrace Pet Insurance.
