Vaccines for Doggie Daycare
Henry and Kramer love attending doggie daycare, but they need to have certain vaccines to go.
Vet Bill: $543
Background
Doggie daycare is a great place for pups to go - they can run around, socialize and let loose. Most daycares require that pets have certain vaccinations to attend, protecting both your pet and the rest of the pack. Henry, a 4 year old Beagle mix, and Kramer, a 5 year old Rottweiler mix, are regulars at their local doggie daycare but were in need of some vaccine updates before their next visit.
Their pet parent, Sara, shares the story:
"Henry and Kramer were both adopted through a dog rescue that partners with a local doggie daycare, The Mutt Hutt. Before we adopted them, they both spent a good amount of their time waiting for a forever home in The Mutt Hutt's cage-free facility. So, it only seemed natural that we keep up the visits after bringing them home.
Recently, my husband and I were having a birthday party at our home and decided to send Henry and Kramer to The Mutt Hutt for an overnight stay. When I made the reservation, I was reminded that their vaccines on record were out of date so I quickly made a vet appointment to update them.
The trip to the vet was quick and easy. Henry got a heartworm test, bordetella vaccine and a lepto vaccine. Kramer needed a rabies vaccine, heartworm test, bordetella vaccine, and a DHLPP booster. While we were there, we picked up 6 months of Advantage Multi flea and heartworm preventative as well.
Henry and Kramer had a great time at their doggie daycare sleepover and I had my Wellness Rewards* claim refund within days of it being submitted! Can't beat that!"
